Tribute

On Monday December 29, 2014, Patricia Elaine (Terry) Bray passed away peacefully at Sunnybank in Oliver at the age of 77 years

Predeceased by her father Joe Kelley and mother Mary Kelley, sisters Shannon MacDonald, and Rita Puff.

Survived by sister Joanne Sallows of Winfield, Harry (Joanne) Bray of Oliver, three daughters Dawn Bray, Bonnie Chase (Bray) and Kathy Bray all of Oliver; one son Joey (Ducky) Bray of Oliver; six grandchildren: Jason Poulin , Jennifer Teichrib of Oliver, Andrew Teichrib of Penticton, Molly Teichrib of Calgary, Robby Chase (Alicia Cia) of Killam, Alberta, Megan Chase (Jordan Tanner) of Hinton, Alberta; three great-grandchildren Kingston, Ziadin and Zen as well as numerous nieces and nephews and she will be sadly missed by her many friends.

Patricia Elaine Bray nee Kelley was born halfway down Nickelplate hill on Dec. 22, 1937 in a Terraplane car, everyone called her Terry and it stuck with her all her life, even though her real name was Patricia Elaine. She lived at Nickleplate until she was 9 yrs old and then her family moved to Oliver and resided ever since. She has 3 daughters and a Son, Dawn, Joe, Bonnie and Kathy. Mom and dad Mary and Joe Kelley deceased. And she has 3 sisters Shannon and Rita deceased and Joanne living in Winfield.

Terry loved her job working at the Oliver Tourist information booth years ago. But, most of all she stayed home as a housewife while raising her four children, that was always the most important thing to her.

Terry used to love playing Bingo, but again mostly loved spending time with her family on family outings, especially taking the kids all to Tucelnuit Lake, drive-in movies and bowling. In later years she liked to go to yard sales, and took up doing 1000 piece Jigsaw puzzles as a past time. She loved having morning coffee with her kids. 🙂

Terry was a loving, caring, mother, always there for her kids, she will truly be missed.

In lieu of flowers, Donations are gratefully accepted for the S.P.C.A as Terry was an avid animal lover. She loved her cat Blackie (Baby).

A celebration of life for Terry will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 17, 2015 at the Oliver Elks Hall.
