September 16, 1942 - June 29, 2021

Tribute

This man of many talents passed away too soon on June 29th at the age of 78. He is predeceased by his father, Octave and mother, Jeanne, brother, Yves and sister Yolande.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet, children Theresa Howarth (David) and Martin (Gisele), grandsons Ryan, Sean, Eric and Dylan. Brothers, Roch (Michelle), Luc (Diane), Normand, Mario (Chantal) and sister Carmelle (Joachim) and many nieces and nephews.

He was a millwright by trade. His first employer after a move from Ontario to British Columbia in 1991 was for Apex Mountain Resort in building maintenance and as a ski instructor. Next, he became the vineyard manager for Hawthorne Mountain Winery, before working for Waycon Manufacturing in Penticton and retiring from Roxul Inc. in Grand Forks, BC.

He volunteered for the Elks, the Legion, the Penticton Yacht Club, an Elementary School Solar Power Introductory Program, the Good Sam RV Club. He loved to downhill ski, sail, camp, scuba dive and travel.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to friends for their thoughtfulness and generosity in our time of grief.
