In Loving Memory of Placeta Rutherford
Placeta gained her wings on February 9, 2026
She was the beloved partner to Dean, Mom to Melody, Delrae and Irene, Grandma/Bammer to 6 grandsons and Great Grandma to 4 boys and 2 girls.
Her love of family was felt by many, she was the greatest ally, protector and defender when needed while never afraid to call you out when required.
Her sense of adventure, “can-do” attitude, free spirited thinking, and a knack for good story telling allowed her to make friends with ease.
Friends quickly became family and you were always welcome at her door, her table, her campsite, on a road trip or wherever she might be on any given day.
To her, you were only a stranger once.
Her journey on earth is complete, but she will live on in our memories forever.

So sorry ladies and other family members on the loss of your Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma. I remember how Dad would try and tease her and she would give it back to him with her quick wit.
