Tribute

Mira went peacefully and unexpectedly in Oliver Hospital at 11:43 Tuesday Night after a brief illness . Mira is predeceased by her loving husband STANISLAVO (Jan 10 2000.) and her only very special son Stanley ( Jan 14, 2010.)

Mira is survived by Sister Superior Marie Valli (Niece in Italy) Emily Morgan and families (Sister- in – law in Slovenia ) Radco Savarin and families in Ont. Nada Miklavcic and families in Ont. Armando & Pompea Savarin and families in Nelson.

Special friends Franco, Maria & Arianna Savarin, Van, Amelia and John Grison (Kelowna)

Mira leaves to mourn her adopted families Mrs. Armania Calisto, Mary and Tom Richards, Barb Pasternak, Dianne Lang, Rachel Sehgal, Vijay Sehgal, Terry White, Colleen & Phil Harfman,

Mira was a devoted wife, remarkable loving, caring Mother, dedicated sister and sister- in -law, generous Aunt, trusted friend, spiritual practicing Catholic who mercilessly practiced her faith daily and lived her live as a true Christian.

Radomira and Stanislavo were married in Monte De Capodisitria Slovenia on September 26,1953 and lived in the district of Smarie. They immigrated to Canada traveled by steamship and arrived in Halifax on March 21, 1957. Continued out west by train they stopped briefly in Winnipeg saw the 4 ft of snow and felt the cold and kept on going west, first, Vernon, than Nelson, and finally Osoyoos. Radomira worked in the home and outside the home in Nelson at a long term care home facility for a number of years. They had their one and only child Stanley on Feb 9, 1960 and in 1972 they moved to Osoyoos and bought an orchard near the American Border, where they farmed for a number of years eventually sold and moved to town. They traveled for 11 years to San Diego with their motor home and made friends where ever they went, she kept every gift that she was given along the way and told the story about each item. Her favorite was a clock in the shape of a heart with roses inside, she said the lady give me her heart. Radomira was dedicated to God and her family, was a wonderful cook, famous for her Easter Bread, Special Soup and fine pastries, she loved life and enjoyed every aspect of it regardless of how difficult it was she carried forward with love and compassion.

Mira will be deeply missed by all those that knew her. May her soul rest in peace.

Prayers to be held on Dec 3, 7:30 pm at St Anne’s Catholic Church, Osoyoos. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M Dec 4, 2013.

Interment will follow at Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery. Radomira will be laid to rest

next to her husband Stanislavo and near her beloved Son Stanley. Reception to follow.
