Tribute

On Sunday, October 31, 2010, Rae-Ann McLean of Oliver, B. C., passed

away at the South Okanagan General Hospital after a long illness at the age

of 52 years. A funeral service was officiated by Pastor Ann White at 1:00

p.m. Monday November 8, 2010, at the Oliver United Church. Rae-Ann was laid to rest in the Oliver

Municipal Cemetery following the funeral service. A reception was held in

the church basement. Rae-Ann was predeceased by her father, her

grandparents, and her uncle. Rae-Ann will be remembered by her mother

Marjorie E. Mulcaster, Stepfather Fred Mulcaster of Oliver, B. C., brothers

Gary “Ronald” Mitchell of Calgary, AB, Robert W. Studer, Gregory J.

(Debbie) Studer, Kenneth B. (Rhonda) Studer all from Kamloops, B. C.,

uncle Larry (Lorna) Tompkins of Calgary, AB, close friend Kathy of Oliver,

B. C., as well many extended family and friends. Rae-Ann worked as a

motel manager for fifteen years in Winnipeg, MB and in child care for many

years. She also went to nursing school prior to her grandmother’s death.

Rae-Ann attended the United Church in Calgary, AB while she looked after

her grandmother (her mother’s mother) for five years until her

grandmothers death at the age of 94 years. She also attended the Oliver

United Church until her illness overtook her. Rae-Ann loved painting and

riding her own Harley. Her love of cowboys was because her dad was a

cowboy growing up on the farm in Saskatchewan. The family would like to

extend sincere thanks to Pastor Ann White, Dr. Tom Francis for his many

years of excellent medical care, and to Nunes–Pottinger Funeral Service for

their kindness, help and thoughtfulness, in making arrangements so much
