Tribute

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Richard Neufield at the age of 79. He was loved by all that met him, and never turned down the opportunity to help others. He grew up in Oliver BC where he was an orchardist until 27, he then worked in the logging and mining industries for the remainder of his working career before retiring at 58 due to issues with his back. He was a man of faith for over 40 years, last serving at Horizon Church Princeton. When he was more mobile he loved meeting friends for coffee at Cool Beanz, and was always found helping others get firewood, move, telling stories, and giving people food and money as often as he could spare it. He was a homebody that loved a good coffee and spending time with his grandkids. Richard was able to spend a beautiful 54 years married to the love of his life. He loved his family with all his heart, and was so proud of each and every one of them.

He will forever be remembered for his contagious laugh, wide grin, and soft heart. He was predeceased by his parents, Neil and Nellie, two of his brothers, Mark and Keith, and his youngest daughter, Debbie.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline, his eldest son, Jason (Carrie) Neufield, his middle daughter Lynette (Curtis) Boyd, his son-in-law, Mike (Tanya) White, and grandchildren Alexia (Sean) and Kirsten Boyd, Braydon (Dakota) and Bailey (Nick) White.

His memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday February 3rd, 2024 at Riverside Community Centre in Princeton BC. All are welcome to attend, and the family thanks everyone for their continued support.
