Richard Daniel Poirier

July 5, 1953 – July 23, 2024

 

It Is with great sorrow to announce the passing of a great man, Richard Daniel Poirier. He passed away at McKinney Place, on Tuesday July 23, peacefully, surrounded by his family at his side until his final moments.

Richard was predeceased by his Parents Paul, and Ruth Poirier, Sister Anne-Marie Higgs, Brothers Wayne, and Bernie Poirier.

He is survived by his children Jody Poirier, Blayne Poirier (Vicki), Sarah Poirier (Billy Ladue) Grandson William Poirier, Brothers Ron Poirier (Linda), Gary Poirier (Shelley), Moe Poirier (Tina) also many Nieces, Nephews, and Friends.

In the early years in Cartier, Ontario. Richard Owned, and operated Poirier Propane. He then later moved to the Okanagan, where he enjoyed selling vehicles at Oliver Car & truck. You may also remember Richard, helping you at the Oliver Home hardware store, where he was knowledgeable in many ways to help out a customer with their task.

Richard would look forward to spending time with family, and friends, and making arrangements for their camping, fishing, and Baseball trips. He also enjoyed coaching the Oliver Minor Baseball team, as well as, the Oliver Minor Hockey team.

Richard loved spending quality time with his family, also having Tim Hortons coffee, and great conversations.  He loved sports, baseball, hockey, and golf.
