I still can’t believe that you are gone. I have many great memories of you growing up in Windsor, camping trips with your cousins and visits to Ottawa, just to name a few of the great times you spent with Joe and Ben. I was looking through old photos and seeing you through the years surely made my heart ache.

To Pat, Vickie and Linda, I can’t imagine the grief you are suffering. To Sean and Charlie, you’ve lost your big brother and I know his death will leave a huge hole in your lives. In time, you will be able to remember all the fun you enjoyed growing up together,

AJ, although we’ve not met in person I want you to know that all of Rob’s family will hold you near and provide you with support whenever you feel the need.

We wish we could be there for the funeral service but we will be thinking of you all as you say goodbye to a wonderful young man.

It’s times like this that we really think of what the true meaning of “FAMILY” is. Years go by, time just goes on. It’s times like this we sit and say to ourselves,”If I could just ….”. So many years have gone by and it’s sad to say “I wish I would of known Rob better”. Yet, there is a great sadness in my heart. To Uncle Pat, Linda & Vickie we love you and we will be praying for the Lord to give you strength through this time. I’m sorry to hear about Rob’s passing. It is not easy losing a loved one at such a young age. I’ve know Rob off and on since he was 21. We met in Windsor while he was attending the University.

He was always full of energy, ideas and conversation! I enjoyed our times together and always hoped we would meet again in the future.

My heart goes out to Rob’s parents and family. Know that he was loved and cared for by many.

On behalf of the staff of the Crime Victim Assistance Program and the Victim Services and Crime Prevention Branch, we wanted to extend our heart felt condolences to Rob’s family and circle of friends. As you know, Rob worked with us on two different occasions for several months at a time. He was always positive, upbeat, friendly, helpful and charming. Rob always had time to discuss the latest hockey game, or share a recipe, or talk about his husband and family….all of which were a passion for him. To say we were all shocked and saddened to hear of his death is an understatement. We keep expecting him to call to come back to work with us, or to show up at the office to share stories of his life in the Interior.

He will be missed…he will be remembered by all who knew him.
