Robert (Rob) Waines
January 28, 1954 - March 17, 2018
Tribute
On Saturday, March 17, 2018, Mr. Robert (Rob) Garfield Waines of Oliver passed away surrounded by family at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 64 Years.
He was predeceased by his beloved son Joel Waines and parents Robert and Doreen Waines.
Rob will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Carola; sons Chris (Stephanie) and Brandon (Lisa); daughters Morgan and Hailey; step-sons Conrad and Tyler (Tonya); grandchildren Alyssa, Avery, Kiera, Bree, Aiden, Jayden, Kaleb and Mackenzie; sisters Laura and Melody as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Rob was a Glazier and worked for many years at Precision Glass. He opened his own glass company, Desert Glass and retired at age 60.
He loved travelling around in his motorhome, camping at various locations in Alberta and BC. His latest vacation was to Cuba with Carola and family, which he loved.
Rob enjoyed fishing and he and Carola spent many hours at different lakes and rivers around Oliver. He was an avid gamer with Far Cry being his favourite, he also enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music and playing his guitars.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the BC SPCA.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday March 24, 2018 at the Oliver Community Centre.
