Tribute

On Tuesday March 9, 2010, Mr. Robert Vernon “Bob” Van Allen of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at his home at the age of 78 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Pearl and father Vernon Van Allen and his sister Rosemary Van Allen.
Bob will be fondly remembered by his loving family including Theresa, his wife of 54 years; his sons Ken (Sandi) Van Allen and Dennis (Bonnie) Van Allen; special buddy granddaughter Jennifer Van Allen; step-grandchildren Christopher Hoop and Joe Hoop and Jessica, Josh and Julie Knerr; great-step-grand Sean Knerr his sisters Delores Stamper and Shirley Poehnelt and brother Les Van Allen.
Bob was born on May 13, 1931 in Sparta, Wisconsin and moved to Osoyoos in 1975. He loved painting, walking, fishing, gardening and chocolate.
A memorial service was officiated by Fr. Rex Velmonte at 11:00 A.M. Monday March 15, 2010 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. An urn interment & committal was held at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery followed by a reception in the church lower hall.
