Tribute

On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Roger Warren Fields of Osoyoos, BC passed away at home surrounded by his family, at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by his parents Leverne and Clara Fields, and by his son Todd Warren Fields.

Mourning his passing are his loving wife Rita Fields, his eleven children Laura Hirschi (Owen), Sharon Bowers (Bruce), Tamarya Decker, Brian Fields (Jody), Tina Adams (Michael), Keith Fields, Teresa Mendenhall (Aaron), Kevin Fields (Fabi), Steven Fields (Rebecca), Charlene Fields (Grant Colantin), and Andy Fields; his thirty-five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Skilled with his hands, Roger was employed as a math and shop teacher, worked at the Fields family businesses including the sawmill, Osoyoos Iceburg Restaurant, and Osoyoos Drive Inn; was employed by MLS Landscaping, Fraser Inn, Spirit Ridge, Walnut Beach, and Sun Valley Resort.

Roger dedicated a lifetime of service to everyone around him, and to his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

In his spare time, Roger could be found woodworking, building, and fixing anything! He made gifts of many kinds for his loved ones and friends.  Anyone could count on him for help.

A funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Osoyoos on Monday May 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. followed by burial in Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
