Roy Philpott
March 17, 1934 - May 23, 2011
Tribute
Roy Alan Philpott died at peace on May 23, 2011 after a long illness, surrounded by his family. He leaves Patricia, his beloved wife of 53 years, his daughters Susan and Dana, grandchildren Oliver, Nell and Max, and son-in-law Stephen. He also leaves extended family in England including Linda Skinner and Keith and Dawn Burnell and their families, as well as countless friends.
Roy, a printer by trade, grew up in London, England where he met Pat, whose family ties in Canada brought them here. They settled in Calgary where Roy spent most of his working life, and retired in 1994 to Osoyoos, B.C. Roy was a wise and generous man, who endeavoured perfection in all he did. He loved to golf and spend time with friends, and was fortunate to enjoy his retirement doing just that.

If friends so desire, donations in Roy’s memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of BC http://www.alzheimerbc.org/Get-Involved/Donate/Honour-and-Memorial.aspx or to a charity of choice.
The family wishes to thank the magnificent staff at Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos for their compassionate care and support.
A wake will be held later for friends and family.

Dear Pat & Girls
I was sorry to read about Roy’s passing, although I knew through Susan connecting with Todd that Roy had been sick.
Roy and I always teased that we had to be on the right side of each other so we could hear.
It brings back so many memories of our younger days – with the Craftsmen’s Club and our community parties – we did really have a great fun time.
Don & Doreen Ball,(now living in Victoria), Mona Westhaver and Bob Mackie send their regards to all of you.
I have had your phone number, but not dialed you yet – I will as time goes by and we will have a chat.
Hugs to you all Doreen Williams, Calgary
