Tribute
On Saturday August 15th, Ruby Chase of Oliver peacefully passed away at Sunnybank Centre at the age of 95 years.
She was predeceased by her parents and sisters Doris, Alice, Cora, Florence, Ruth, Edna, Pearl and Mary.
She will be lovingly remembered by her family including her brothers Earl (Glenna) Chase and Leonard Chase; sisters Dorothy McLean, Iris Shilling, Mary (Robert) Manning and Elma (Fred) Ritter; as well as brother-in-law Robert, many nieces and nephews and extended family.
Ruby was born in Halcourt, Alberta. Her family came to the Okanagan Valley in 1928 and other than a brief time in the Cariboo in 1935, she lived in Okanagan Falls, Oliver and Osoyoos most of her life. She spent many years residing and working in Osoyoos and retired there until taking up residence in Sunnybank Centre in Oliver. The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunnybank for their care and kindness shown to Ruby. No formal service as requested.

I knew Ruby for many years while she – and her sister Alice – resided at the “Villa” in Osoyoos. Ruby was always so very pleasant and always had a good sense of humour! She was a quiet and thoughtful person. Now the family will have good memories to share and cherish. My thoughts are with you all.
