Tribute
On Wednesday March 16, 2011, Mr. Rudolph Peter (Rudy) Becker of Osoyoos passed away at Mariposa Gardens at the age of 87 years after a lengthy illness.
He came to Canada with his family at the age of four.
The family settled in Oliver, BC where Rudy attended school, worked and was co-owner of the S.O. Taxi Service.
He then met and married Dorothy (Bunny) Dalton and they had a daughter Anita.
Rudy wanted to run heavy duty machinery so the family moved to Prince George in 1956 where he worked in the forestry industry. In 1966, they returned to the Okanagan to reside in Osoyoos where Rudy worked as a mechanic until his retirement. He then took a part time job with the RCMP until 2002.
Rudy enjoyed curling, golfing, water skiing and gardening. He will be missed by his wife Dorothy (Bunny), daughter Anita, brother Jack (Bernice) and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation and no service by request.
