Relation: God Son.

I was fortunate enough to be able to see Ruth often this last couple of years while she was in Cactus Ridge and then Mariposa. Ruth and Cy were the nicest people and I could always see why Mum and Dad picked them as my God parents. Ruth told the story many times, while she worked with Mum in the bank of Montreal after they first came to town (in about 1958 I believe) that Mum and Dad made sure they attended a company corn roast on Haynes point. From there a life long friendship was started. Both Ruth and Cy where a dear friend of Dad’s right until the end. The story of Cy losing his horse out the back of his Fargo pickup was worth a laugh almost every year. I would bet they are all chuckling together right now but maybe Ruth is looking for a new blouse too. RIP Ruth. You were a classy lady always. My condolences to the family.
