On Saturday, December 10, 2022, Ruth Janet Rodine of Oliver passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family at the age of 108 years.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon; grandson, William and so many others that loved “Little Mama”.
She worked for the Bay in downtown Vancouver for over 30 years.
Ruth spent her entire life in western Canada and loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
She enjoyed knitting, sewing, and especially ironing which she wanted to do every day.

Aunt Ruth was an amazing woman, always bright and eager to learn about new things, and how others were doing. As a small child I enjoyed our family visits, and later as a student in Vancouver, spent many pleasant times at her apartment and even popped in on her once in a while at her job at The Bay. Much later I enjoyed our phone chats, and my last visit, with my wife Lucille, in the fall of 2019. She will be missed, but is now at rest with her eight brothers and sisters.

Ruth was the kindest woman I’ve ever known,, she was full of good things to say to everyone she came in contact with,, her thoughtfulness towards others.She was intelligent,, caring, always making us smile😊.I was one of the lucky ones,, having the chance to share valuable time with her,,doing her hair always made her smile,, and of course adding to her beauty. Ruth was always busy with prayers for the people she loved. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.❤️RIP Ruth
