Tribute
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sharon on August 17, 2017 at the age of 74 years. Sharon’s husband Keith has been left to mourn the love of his life of 43 years, to the day. Daughters Heather (Mike) and Robyn have lost their mom, Carol and Doug, their stepmom. “Nana” will be greatly missed by Lucas and Caleb. Alma has lost her beloved daughter. Brothers, Brian (Shirley) and Roger (Debbie) will grieve their only sister. Many other family members and close friends who knew and loved Sharon, are sad to say good-bye.
Sharon (Hewlett) was born on March 13, 1943 in Kelowna, BC. Her independent nature took her to Vancouver Island at the age of18 where she started her 30 year banking career. She raised her family in Ladysmith and retired at the age of 50 to the sunshine in Osoyoos (Summer) and Arizona (Winter).
Never idle, hobbies filled her hands and her home: sewing, crocheting, card playing, puzzles, reading, crosswords, home decorating and list making!
Sharon will always be remembered for how readily she was able to help others see the positive side of any struggle they may be facing.
Celebration of Life will be held on September 24, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Senior Centre in Osoyoos BC.
