Shirley Desormeau

Tribute
On Wednesday March 15, 2017, Mrs. Shirley Eleanor Desormeau passed away peacefully after a long illness at Mariposa Gardens at the age of 74 years.
She was predeceased by her parents John & Ida Hack and her sister Joyce Hack.
Shirley will be fondly remembered by her loving family including daughter Tami (Melvin) Kilback; son Ron Desormeau; daughter Cindy (Mike) Chisholm; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Shirley worked for many years at the Monashee Co-op/Sunfresh Packing House.
She was a devoted member of Grace Lutheran Church, a member of the Osoyoos Royal Canadian Legion and volunteered at the Richter Pass station with Ironman Canada every year.
Her family was the most important part of her life. She was always trying to help and spend time with them. Shirley also loved spending time with her friends and she had a great sense of humour. Her warm smile will be missed and fondly remembered.
A special thank you to Dr. Calder and the staff at Mariposa Gardens for their wonderful care. We cannot thank them enough for their continued support.
A memorial service will be officiated by Rev. Darren Siegle at 1:00 P.M. Saturday April 1, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church, Osoyoos, BC. A reception will follow in the church lower hall. An urn interment and committal at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery will follow the reception.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the BC Cancer Foundation.

My deepest sympathies to the family. I first met Shirley through work when I met Ida Hack; then Tammy and also Whitney. Shirley was a very dedicated and loving daughter to her Mum and there was a very close bond with her family. There will be many stories to look back upon with love and laughter. Respect her memory by these cherished moments. She is at Peace.
