Tribute

On Tuesday March 28, 2017, Mrs. Silke Zalewski-Pouliot of Oliver passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends after a brief illness at the South Okanagan General Hospital after a brief illness at the age of 50 years.

She was predeceased by her mother and father.

Silke will be fondly remembered by her husband Richard; daughter Nina; sister Kerstin (Michi) of Berlin, Germany.

Silke worked as a dietician at the Berlin Hospital and came to Canada in 1999. She met Richard, got married and raised their daughter Nina who was her pride and joy. For the past eleven years, Silke worked at the Oliver Veterinary Hospital and loved her job.

Over the years, she enjoyed trips to Mexico and Europe. She also enjoyed spending time by the river, loved the outdoors, loved her two cats and dog, was an excellent cook, a baker extraordinaire, an excellent gardener, loved to grow herbs and garlic, loved heavy metal music and quad rides along the river with family.
