Tribute

On Monday May 17, 2010, Mrs. Stella Alice Trenear of Oliver passed away peacefully at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit at the age of 90 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Albert; her parents William and Hilda Cottle; her son Lynton and brothers Alfred and Harold.
Stella will be fondly remembered by her sister Joyce Hodge of England; her sister Pat Pistano of Illinois; nieces Carol, Gayle, Melissa, Suzie and Angele and nephew Paul. She will be lovingly missed by her adopted family in Oliver, Brenda and Ed Shugalo and their daughters Sandy, Dianna, Debbie and their families as well as Carson Horn.
Stella and Albert were married in England in 1940 and came to Canada in 1959. They settled in Oliver in the late 1970’s. .
Stella loved to travel especially in her RV. She enjoyed a trip to Mexico and many fishing trips. She loved bowling, dancing, crib, bridge and golf. Stella had many golf trophies.
She was also an active member of the Oliver Seniors Centre for many years and attended the Oliver Alliance Church.

A graveside service was officiated by Pastor Henry Wiebe at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the Oliver Municipal Cemetery.
