Steven Fields

June 3, 1985 - November 8, 2024

Tribute

Steven Troy Fields, 39, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Penticton, BC. Born on June 3, 1985, in Williams Lake, B.C., Steven grew up as the tenth of twelve siblings. He enjoyed a wonderful childhood living in the middle of the forest with his family and cousins in Horsefly, B.C. His early years were filled with adventures like building forts, riding bikes, swimming in the creek, and skateboarding. He was also great at playing sports including basketball, wrestling, and track & field during his school years at Horsefly Elementary and Wood River High School.

Steven loved spending time working with his dad, Roger, and learning many skills. He discovered his own knack for fixing things, from motorbikes to computers. He later channeled this passion into a career. After high-school graduation, Steven went on to receive skilled certificates and accreditation as a welder and finisher at trades school.

Amidst the thorns in his life, Steven’s love of dear ones remained. He showed his love for them by joining in their favorite activities such as going to church with his mom, Rita, or water skiing and games with his siblings. Extra special to Steven, were moments spent wrapping his new son, Caleb, in his own cherished blanket for nap time.

Steven is remembered for his willingness to lend a hand doing yard work or anything needed for his neighbors in Osoyoos and other friends throughout his life. May he feel peace until we meet again.

Steven Troy Fields is survived by his son Caleb; former spouses Lynn and Rebecca; sisters Laurie (Owen), Sharon (Bruce), Tamarya, Tina, Teresa (Aaron), and Charlene; brothers Brian (Jody), Keith, Kevin, and Andrew. He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Rita Fields, brother Todd, and grandparents  LaVerne and Clara Fields, and Grant Reed and Bernice Pitcher.

Cremation Friday, November 22, 2024. A graveside service will be held at Saturday November 23rd at 11am at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.

Family will gather at a later time to honor Steven’s memory and celebrate his life.
