Victor Timmerman

August 5, 1939 - April 9, 2016

Tribute

In celebration of a life well-lived, we sadly announce the passing of Vic Timmerman.

Born August 5, 1939 in St. Gregor, SK, Victor George Timmerman passed suddenly at home in Oliver, BC on Saturday, April 9, 2016.

Vic and his wife of 53 years, Keryn Timmerman (nee Kramer of Anaheim, SK) built their life, family and business for many years in Melfort, SK before beginning their journey to life in Oliver.

In 2005, Vic and Keryn began spending winters in the Okanagan valley and summer at St. Brieux Lake, SK.

In 2011, they made Oliver their permanent home and enjoyed these years together with many great friends and their family; dancing, travelling with the motorhome & camping in the valley.

Vic spent his working years as an electrical contractor and enjoyed building and renovating several of their homes. He did excellent work and appreciated a job well done.

Vic & Keryn have 3 children and several dearly loved grandchildren: Colin Timmerman (Della) & Nickolas (11) of St. Brieux, SK, Candace Timmerman & Cole (22) of Stettler, AB, Darren Timmerman (Karen) & Joshua (18) and Katelyn (14) of Prince Albert, SK.

There are no words to convey the depth of our love, respect and admiration for our Dad and Grandpa.

Vic felt fortunate and proud to be the eldest of Vic Sr. & Ida Timmerman's 10 children. He was loved and respected by both his and his wife's families, which extend to four generations.

Vic knew how to laugh, love and live well and he will be dearly missed by all.

Funeral service to be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 15, 2016 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 6044 Spartan Street, Oliver BC.

A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held near home in Saskatchewan at a later date, to be announced.

Donations may be made in tribute to Vic at Highway to Healing, Po Box 905, Oliver, BC V0H 1T0.
