Tribute
On Thursday August 8, 2013, Mr. Walter John “Walt” Parker passed away at his home at the age of 78 years.
He was predeceased by his mother Mabel and sister Joan.
Walt will be fondly remembered by his loving wife Vicky of 54 years; daughters Carmen and Joanne; grandchildren Nathan and Laura; great-grandson Mathew; sisters Linda, Jane and Shirley; many nieces; nephews; extended family as well as his four-legged companion CJ.
Walt enjoyed a long career as a woodworker. He had a passion for model trains, his beloved Canucks, gardening (especially sunflowers) and was also known for harvesting walnuts.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the BC Kidney Foundation, 299 – 4940 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 9Z9.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Friday August 16, 2013 at the Osoyoos Elks Hall. Refreshments will be served after the service. Interment and committal will follow at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tarr, Dr. Cleveland, Dr. Hotchman, Dr, Forzley and all the staff at SOGH and the Penticton Regional Hospital for all their care and compassion.

Dear Walter, I am sorry you had to leave early – You deserved to live much, much longer. I loved the way you were! You were a great family man and so smart. I thought you were brilliant! You will be missed and visiting Osoyoos will never be the same anymore…I will always remember the wonderful dinners in Richmond with Vicky, the girls and you! RIP beautiful brother!
