Tribute
On Sunday May 11, 2014, Mr. Wayne Douglas (aka Hacksaw) Bent of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 58 years.
He was predeceased by his father Simon Bent; grandmother Elizabeth Bent; one sister and his uncle Smitty Bent.
Wayne will be fondly remembered by his loving family including wife Ramona Bent; children Lukus, Waylon, Allen, Ben, Mark and Shane; mother Irene Bryson and Ken Bryson his Pops; brothers and sisters Tom Alex, Shirley Alex, Marlo Alex, Moses Alex, Steve Bryson, Veronica McGinnis, Christine as well as his pit bull Bambino.
Wayne had a long career working construction and spent many years working for Greyback Construction.
He loved to go to the South Dakota motor bike Sitting Bull memorial and to Vancouver to watch Canuck games.
Wayne loved all his family, relatives and friends and attending community events and celebrations. He also had a great sense of humour, a huge heart and was well known for his dominant handshake.
A wake will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday May 16, 2014 at the SenPokChin School Gym. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday May 17, 2014 at the SenPokChin School Gym.

Relation: We were hockey parents together
I would like to send my deepest condolences to Wayne’s family. I never saw him often but whenever we bumped into each other he always had the biggest smile and warmest hello. I was shocked and saddened when I heard of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during the difficult time.
