William (Bill) Brock

Tribute
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, William (Bill) Brock of Osoyoos passed away suddenly at the age of 61.
He is predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Helen Brock.
Left to honour his life and keep his memory alive are his loving partner, Patricia Peart; son Joseph Brock-Walls; beloved grandchildren Brandy, Benjamin Brock and Mistry Kruger; brother Lorne Brock (Carol); sisters Bev Brock-McHollister (Ted), Laura Sommerfeld, Gwen Zeeman (Thomas), Fay Harley (Neil), Regene Raggett (Dale), Roberta Nielsen; aunt Marg Tingley; uncle Albert Lessard (Elaine); and numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
Bill was born in the prairie town of North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He was the second youngest of 8 siblings. In 1972, the Brock family headed to the promise-land of sunshine, blue skies, and orchards, settling in Oliver, BC.
Bill grew up playing with friends and family in an orchard on Road 9. They moved from the orchard to the beach at Tuc-el-Nuit Lake and many fun swimming parties took place with siblings and friends.
On March 17, 1994, Bill received the best gift life could offer; his son Joey was born. Bill spent a lot of time teaching Joey how to fish. As Bill always said the prodigy outfished the master.
In 2014, Bill met Patricia through their best friends, Ken and Audrey. It didn’t take long for Bill and Patricia to realize they were soulmates. They loved to take road trips in the mountains with their dogs Pandy and Buddy.
He had a passion for cooking, be it a quiet supper for two or entertaining for friends. He also had a green thumb for gardening. He loved his grandchildren and counted the days between visits.
Bill had a heart of gold. He always took the time to stop and talk to a friend and was always willing to lend a helping hand if he knew you had a project.
Bill would give the shirt off his back, the shoes off his feet and the last dollar in his pocket if someone needed it. He was the most kind, gentle, loving, caring soul.
Anyone who knew him treasured his friendship.
