The Figueira family are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend, Alberto Braz Figueira. Alberto, 84, passed away suddenly on Friday September 9, 2022 with his family by his side.
Alberto was born on February 27, 1938 in Silvares Portugal. He immigrated to Canada on March 11, 1957. He married the love of his life Delfina, on March 1, 1958 via proxy. On July 1, 1958 Delfina left Portugal and joined him in Osoyoos, BC and then soon after to Oliver, BC where they started their family. Alberto along side his wife, spent their early years working hard as orchardists and eventually they were able to purchase property to provide for their family. Years later Alberto and his wife moved their family to Penticton, BC in 1974 where they finally settled with their young family. Alberto was an active member in his church, the Knights of Columbus, and the church prayer group. Alberto enjoyed his many travels around the world but his most favorite place of all was his homeland, Portugal. Alberto’s favorite past times included watching wrestling, soccer, playing with tools and equipment, making wine and of course spending time with his adored family and friends. Alberto not only had a big and generous heart, he also accomplished many wonderful things in his life. He especially was proud of his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his professional legacy, the Figueira’s Mobile Home Park.
Alberto is survived by his wife, Delfina; children, Antonio (Lucia), Amelia (Dave), José (Randy); grandchildren, Laura (Tim), Andrew (Tegan), Sara (Eric) ; great-grandchildren Adrien, Vincent, Ari, Brinley, Sloan, Maci, and Jackson.
Alberto is predeceased by his brothers, Antonio Braz, Arlindo Figueira; sisters, Maria Dos Anjos Vicente, Laurentina Barroca; nephews, Joe Braz, Carlos Braz and Joe Barroca.
The family asks that you please join them to celebrate Alberto’s life. Prayers: 7:00 pm Friday Sept 16, 2022, and Funeral Mass: 11:00 am Saturday Sept 17, 2022 at St. John Vianney Parish, 361 Wade Ave W, Penticton, BC.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks to please donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or Parkinson Canada.

Alberto was a pleasure to deal with in business as I only knew him thru selling many mobiles in his park and he was the kindest kindest man ever. Always easy to deal with.
