Tribute
Dad left us peacefully after a 2 year struggle with cancer to be reunited with our Mum and love of his life, Annie (Nan) Forman.
Dad was predeceased by his wife, Annie (Nan) Forman in 1997 and second wife Patricia Jones-Forman in 2014. His Parents David and Annie Forman,brothers Jimmy, Andrew and David Forman and sister Maisie Rogers, all of Scotland. He was also predeceased by his son in law George Palberg.
Dad is survived by his son Ross (Mary) Forman and grandson Earl as well as two grandchildren from a previous marriage, Stephen and Natalie Forman. Daughter Heather Palberg. Brothers Charlie (Joyce) Forman and George (Marie) Forman and many nieces and nephews in Scotland and Canada.
Dad is also survived by his second Family, Liz (Bob) Cochlan, Frank Jones, David (Val) Jones, Monica Jones, Bronwen Jones (Sheldon Ibbotson) and Robin (Murray) Joa and thirteen grandchildren that he loved dearly and had very special places in his heart.
At age 20 Dad immigrated to Canada with the HBC as a fur trader. Dad met and married Nan in Wabasca AB in 1953, they lived in many small towns in BC, and the NWT. In 1960 Dad left The Bay to start his own Grocery and Hardware store in Ft McPherson, in 1970 they moved the business to Inuvik.
They retired in 1979 and travelled Canada and the USA from coast to coast. Eventually Settling in Osoyoos in the mid 1980s. Dad met his second wife Pat Jones in 1998 and they were married in 2000, eventually moving to Penticton in 2012.
Dad had an interesting and varied life, serving as a Justice of the Peace and Coroner in the NWT and several years as Town Councillor and Deputy Mayor in the town of Inuvik. After retiring Dad indulged his passion and travelled the world with Mum and Pat.
