Tribute
On Monday January 23, 2023, Mr. Allan (Al) Bruce White of Oliver passed suddenly at the Penticton Regional Hospital at the age of 75 years.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charlie & Elizabeth White; sister Shirley, and in-laws, Roy & Ella Sturgess.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie (Nee Sturgess); best friends, Gerry & Gretchen Mounce; Godsons, Richard (Heather), Mike (Danielle), Christopher (Shelby) & Brad and other best friends Bruce & Marian Walker.
Al ran his own company, White Contracting Ltd on the Saanich Peninsula for almost 30 years before semi-retiring in 2006 when he, Bonnie and Bonnie’s mother Ella Sturgess moved to Oliver. Once in Oliver he also worked with PJR Contracting and Barisoff Trucking.
Al was able to travel a few times to different destinations like Hawaii, Oahu, Maui, Mexico, Porta Vallarta, Mazatlán & Cabo.
Throughout Al’s life, he was able to enjoy some hobbies & interests which included sky diving, scuba diving, fishing, boating, hunting and camping.

We are so sorry and so sad Bonnie to hear of Al’s passing. He will be missed by so many of us. Always enjoyed catching up with you guys when we came through Osoyoos. And what fun we all had at those Wine and sausage parties. Big hugs to you Bonnie.

Dear Bonnie, I am so sorry to see this, please accept my deepest condolences. I realize our paths have not crossed for many many years, some of my fondest memories from childhood are memories of your family. Your Dad and Mom, were very important to my Dad, which made them favourites of mine. (Great Uncle and Aunt) . I consider myself an amateur genealogist and came across this obituary by chance.
