HANLEY, Arthur B.
(1931 – 2010)
Of Oliver, BC, passed away on Monday, February 1, 2010 surrounded by family, after a sudden illness at the age of 78 years.
Art is lovingly remembered by his son Dave (Betty) Hanley and daughter Ann (Mike) Keizer; by his grandchildren Brad (Kelly), Scott (Kathy), Jeff, Michelle and Johnathon; and by his great-grandchildren Kara, Riley, Alysha and Colin; and by his grand-pets Sam and Lucy. Art was predeceased by his wife Theresa, his daughter Pat Meseyton, and Boez.
Art was a proud soldier serving in the Princess Patricia”s Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI). He worked as a Parks Warden and as a crew-boat captain.
Among Art’s hobbies were wine making and gardening. He also enjoyed his coffee breaks at Shadetree Repairs.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday February 6, 2010 at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Chapel. Art was interred in the Veterans section of the Oliver Municipal Cemetery, laid to rest with his loving wife Theresa.
The Hanley family wishes to thank all the wonderful I.C.U. staff at the Penticton Regional Hospital for their care of Art in his last days.
