Tribute
On Thursday October 22, 2009, Mr. Arthur Malyk of Oliver passed away peacefully at South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 71 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Daniel and Bertha Malyk, as well as his brother Norman Malyk.
Art is survived by his loving family including his five children; Kim (Steve), Debbie, Richard (Ana), Kathy (Terry) and Mark. Ten grandchildren; Daniel, Robert, Desiree, Samantha, Alex, Stephanie, Trevor, Andrew, Justin and Joshua.
Art enjoyed a long career as a successful business person who among other things owned Art’s Custom Upholstery throughout the Okanagan Valley.
He loved camping, golfing and square dancing. He was also a long time member of Toast Masters
A private family Urn Committal will take place in Milton, Ontario.
They family wishes to thank Dr. Myslek, the palliative care unit of the South Okanagan General Hospital and the caring people of Park Avenue Estates. You were a great comfort during this difficult time.

Kim and family,
Thank-you for the card of appreciation sent to me, that was so thoughtful. I too, tried to contact you the day after your father passed away, but was at first not successful, then later spoke to a woman with an accent that said you had gone back to the island. I have just returned from there myself to bury my mother so have been away for 2 weeks taiking care of her. Thank-you for a copy of your Dad’s obituary, it is always nice to learn more about people when they were well.
I congratulate you and your family for doing your best in honoring your dad’s wishes and making his end of life as comfortable as possible.
