Tribute
On Saturday July 3, 2010, Mr. Arthur Bruce Scott of Oliver passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 64 years.
Arthur is survived by his daughters Vanessa Una Scott-Sabic and Jesse Laine Marchand; son Julian Arthur Scott; his sister Pauline Theodor; niece Carrie Lee Theodor; and nephew Michael Brandon Theodor as well as many other family members and friends.
Arthur was born in Thirsk, England on May 11, 1946 and arrived in Canada in 1959. He was a long-time resident of Oliver and a prominent realtor in the community. He was most well-known for his passion for music and his skill at the guitar. Arthur was musically influenced by John Lennon, the Beatles, and Eric Clapton, among many others, and his renditions of their music will be greatly missed.
A casual memorial gathering will be held between 1:00 – 3:00 P.M. Saturday July 24, 2010 at the Oliver Community Hall.

Last fall, just prior to the birth of his first Grandchild, Lilyana, Arthur emailed me. Feeling somewhat sentimental, he reminisced about the early days in North Vancouver when Vanessa and Julian were born. “Those were the good old days,” he said. And they were. Time will never erase the memory of those precious days. Love always, Koreen.
Sadness also for my brother Lorne at the loss of an old friend. Scotty taught him how to play guitar.
