Carter Alexander Bybel was born November 12, 2006 in Calgary, Alberta and moved to BC at a young age.
Carter made great friends everywhere he went. He had depth in many areas of his life. It showed in the way he cared deeply for family and friends. It showed in his wonderful sense of humour, followed with a bright smile. It showed in the way he would never miss opportunities to fish or bike, and it showed in competition with focus and furious determination. Carter was a blessing to anyone, and everyone around him.
Carter passed suddenly July 2, 2023 at the young age of 16, and lives on through his mom, Amber; dad, Mike; his sister, Kayti as well as family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday July 29th, at the Oliver Alliance Church. Please feel free to wear bright and colourful clothing.

I may not have known Carter for very long, but the way he impacted my life was huge. Him and I shared many frustrations over Pre Calc 11 class that we both attended (rarely) all year long after not passing the first semester. I would text him at 8:45 and ask him why he was 15 minutes late and it was typically due to him staying up late the night before and having slept in, or he got side tracked by Mikey and Trace in the hallway. We complained of the long walks down to the gym and talked of how great it’ll be once we get our N’s, he sure was bitter when i got my motorcycle license and he would end up walking with some of the other gym goers. He pushed me to work hard in the gym and made sure i never dropped too heavy of weight on myself. When I’m there now, i can still hear him say to me, “Let er’ eat!” and it always gets me through the last rep on the bench press. Carter always talked about his beautiful girl back home, and bragged that she’s all his, even shoved pictures of her in my face because he was so proud and has so much love for her in his heart. I send my deepest condolences to the Byble family and his girl Keiryn, he will be in the hearts and prayers of so many for years to come.
