Tribute

On Saturday October 7, 2017, Mrs. Catherine Veronica Harfman of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at Mariposa Gardens at the age of 96 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Nickolas Harfman; sisters Antoinette Boyo and Mary Dunn and grandson Kevin Harfman.

Catherine will be fondly remembered by her loving family including sons Rudy (Lynn) Harfman, Philip (Colleen) Harfman, Wayne (Irene) Harfman and Ken (Cidalia) Harfman of Osoyoos, BC; brother Anton Boyo of Midway, BC; sister Betty (Johnny) Greschner of Osoyoos, BC; 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She loved and was loved by her grandchildren to whom she was known as Nana. She could always find time to make them feel special in her own sweet way.

She enjoyed a long career working at the Osoyoos Co-op Packinghouse for 20 years.

Catherine and Nickolas travelled around BC in their motorhome and made many, many bus vacations to Reno, Nevada over the years. She had a large vegetable garden and grew lots of flowers from spring until fall. Catherine also enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.

A celebration of Catherine’s life was held at the Philip Harfman residence in Osoyoos at 10:00 am Saturday October 14, 2017.

A private family urn interment at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery will be held at a later date.
