Tribute
On Tuesday April 22, 2014, Cecilia Rosalena Hagel of Oliver passed away at peacefully after a long illness surrounded by family at Sunnybank Centre at the age of 88 years.
She was predeceased by her husband Joe; her parents; two brothers and one sister.
Cecelia will be fondly remembered by her loving family including son Jack and his children Damon, Bryce and Daylin; daughter Maryann (Sieghart) and their children Shelley and Jason; son Ed (Helen) and their children Brandon and Carly; son Gord (Julia) and their children Kaili, Maddison and Shayla and daughter Sharon (Frank) and their children Brooke and Olivia.
Cecilia had a long employment career in Osoyoos. She worked for twenty six years at the Monashee Packinghouse; sixteen years at the Starlight Restaurant and four years at Dawson Farms.
Cecilia enjoyed travelling to Reno, Three Valley Gap, Saskatchewan and Calgary. She also enjoyed knitting and making pies for everyone, curling and playing crib.
Cecilia was a member of the Legion Auxiliary and a past President of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #173.
A graveside urn interment and committal will be held at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery at 11:00 A.M Thursday May 1, 2014.
Donations are gratefully accepted for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 173.
The family of Cecilia Hagel would like to thank the amazing staff at Sunnybank. All of you made mom’s last three months comfortable and respectable. Bless all of you.
