Dear Grandma,
It’s still very hard to believe you’re gone. Everyone has gathered today to say our goodbyes and honor you in the best way we can. You are incredibly special to everyone who’s ever met you. You are one-of-a-kind and we all miss you terribly.
I know that you are happy now where you are. I can only imagine how joyous the reunion was with all the family members you’ve lost over the years. Please enjoy them and don’t be sad for us.
You gave everything you had and more to make us all as happy as possible, and now it is finally your turn. Your sacrifices did not go unnoticed. Your love is forever appreciated and valued more than you may ever know. I can only hope your reward is eternal happiness in Heaven with all those you cared so much for.
Grandma, the greatest reward in my life is knowing you. Nothing in the world could ever replace one second of the time I was lucky enough to spend with you.
I loved just to sit and talk with you about anything, no matter how trivial. You always had time for me. You were never too busy and you never pushed me away.
You laughed with me when I was happy and hugged me so warmly when I was sad. You always told me, “everything will be alright.”
I close my eyes and I see a blue-eyed woman holding a cup of tea and smiles kindly.
She’s an angel in house slippers and glasses. She was an angel long before today.
God had a special plan for you, Grandma. I think He knew that Heaven couldn’t ever really be Heaven without you. I don’t know why He waited so long to call you home, but I’m so thankful that He did.
I love you and cherish you with all my heart. I see you in the sunshine and I feel your presence in every warm breeze.
You sit now upon puffy clouds set against blue summer skies. You are still with us all.
Grandma, please watch over all of us; but if I can ask for one more thing, is that you please watch over Mom and Larry. They are the best and tried so hard to keep the peace with us all. And please watch over Diane and Paul who gave up everything to care for you in your last days with us, and Michael they need you now more than ever.
Please stay in their hearts and give them some of the strength you had. They embody everything you stood for: Putting everyone else ahead of ourselves and our own wants or needs.
Thank you for all your kindness and sweet words. Thank you for your smiles and your hugs. Thank you for the funny stories and all the wonderful food you cooked.
Thank you for always thinking of everyone else long before you ever thought of yourself. Thank you for making our lives far more special than they ever could have been without you.
Please go home to your beloved mother, husband, brother and sister.
I love you more than anything else in this world and I’ll see you again someday.
Linda, Bernie, Jami and Trenten

To a Very Special Soul. I owe my life to this woman. Her love and caring gave me strength and courage during a time in my life that was only chaos and hurt. She took me into her home and her heart.
I thrived during the time that I spent with her and Diane and Paul. I often think of the days us kids used to sit out in the old car in the backyard, or the days that we would come home from school and the deep fryer was going with homemade french fries. She would always be smiling. Her laugh would cheer up the darkest day. I will truly miss this woman. I will think of her always. When I hear a tiny laugh in the crowd or feel the warmth of the sun on my face, these are the times I will remember her.
Diane & Paul: I reach out to you and give you a big hug, because it was both of you too that helped me in my life as well, and for this I am so grateful. I will always remember the one house on Riverside Road that was full of love and caring.
Love you all and will miss you Mom!

Dear Grama,
I didn’t have the chance to be with you on your side of your last days, but there wasnt a day we didn’t pray and think about you. I’ll always remember the week in summer I’d get to spend with you making tea cakes, and showing me how to knit. You were one of the sweetest, kindest ladies anyone would ever have the joy of being around. I can remember you coming all the way to Louisiana to visit us on Christmas and sitting there laughing with me because my dog had eatten my pecan clusters. Its those memories, the memories you can always look back on and remember the good times we did have the chance to spend together. I wish Trenten would of had the chance to meet his Great Great Grandmother, but I am glad you got to see pictures and watch videos of him, I know he would of loved you just as much as we all did. You will never be forgotten and I will always tell stories about you to my son. I love you so much Grama.

Until the day we meet again, I will love you Forever and Always
Jami & Trenten

Relation: friends of the family

As a child we could never imagen that our bigger than life parents would one day no longer be with us to protect and guide us. Now as adults we have come to realize that, that day will come for us all but we are still able to treasure and hold dear to our hearts all the beautiful memories that were shared with our loved ones. Just wanting to let you know that Tom and I are thinking of you and your family through this rough time and your mom was one of the sweetest little ladies we had ever had the pleasure of spending some time with. May she rest in Peace.Love from the Thorne family:(:(
