Tribute
On Thursday September 8, 2011, Mr. George Gordon Wilson of Oliver and long time resident of Okanagan Falls passed away at the South Okanagan General Hospital at the age of 64 years.
He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters Erma, Ruby, Lily and Sheila. George was predeceased by his mother Amy Tubbs; his father John Wilson and his sister Lorna.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George’s name are gratefully accepted for the BC Cancer Foundation, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 5L3.

We were greatly saddened to hear of the passing of George. He fought his illness long and hard and always with a smile and optimism. He was very proud of his Oliver roots and spoke often of his sisters with great fondness. We will miss our chats at the post office and the coffee shop in Okanagan Falls – but find comfort in the knowledge that George is at peace and pain free. I will miss George,
He was my vineyard mentor and friend for 6 great learning years. I could have never learned so much or accomplish the things I have without him. His lessons came with such grace and always a smile on his face. Some of which was at my expense. I have many fond memories forever at Noble Ridge in Okanagan Falls, BC

I was so saddened by the news of George’s passing but am so happy to have had the opportunity to know him at all. I miss sharing a lunch, a chat and a laugh with him, he was a truly special man with a fabulous sense of humor whom I will miss hugely but remember fondly. My prayers and thoughts are with you.
