Tribute

Grace Bousquet, age 88, passed away peacefully in Osoyoos, BC on November 26, 2015 of complications from seizures, strokes and vascular dementia. Grace is survived by her three children and their families.  Neil Bousquet (Toni of Oliver, BC and grandson Brett of Vail, Colorado), Barry Bousquet (Lise, London, ON) and Colleen Bousquet (Winnipeg, MB).

Grace is also survived by her sister Margaret (Noah) Bowman, Vancouver and brother Tom Saunders, Grandview, Manitoba as well as numerous nieces and nephews.  Grace was born Grace Gertrude Saunders in Winnipegosis, Manitoba on October 10, 1927.  Along with husband Allan, they moved to Kapuskasing, Ontario where they raised three children. Allan died suddenly in Kapuskasing in 1974.

Following her husband’s passing, Grace moved to Winnipeg and later West Vancouver.  In 2006, she relocated to Calgary and then to Osoyoos, BC.  Grace will be fondly remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a warm spirit and big heart for putting others first.

We’ll miss your smile and kindness mom.  Thankfully, your warm and generous spirit lives on in each of your children.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Grace Bousquet’s name to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation and/or Alzheimer’s Society of Canada.
