Tribute

It is with great sadness and disbelief that we announce the passing of Graham David Fairbrother.  On Wednesday morning, October 13th, Graham was in his garage working out and riding his exercise bike like he did every morning before work, and suffered a fatal heart attack.

Graham would have been thirty-nine years old on November 1st, was incredibly fit, strong, active, and healthy.  He loved to work out, ride his bike, and run. He also loved being out in nature, camping, hiking, or working in his backyard and garden, and was an artist with his camera and his welding torch. He loved his music and he loved watching and talking sports One of his greatest joys was being on his bike flying up the KVR when the sun came up.

Most of all, though, Graham lived for his family. Sam and Chloe were his joy and his pride, and he was their hero and best friend.  He cherished his relationship with Melissa, his other best friend and the love of his life, and he was so proud of his step-daughter Christina.  He was a kind, quiet, thoughtful, happy, and gentle man, son, father, step-father and husband.

Graham is survived by his loving family; mom and dad, Liz and Dave, his siblings, sister Kara, brother Michael, and sister-in-law Naomi, his nephews and nieces, Oliver, Thomas, Matthew, Willow and Lily, and parents-in-law, Glen and Verna.  He will be incredibly missed by all his family, friends, and work colleagues.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Sunday, October 24, 1:30 PM, at the Oliver Community Centre.  Full vaccination will be required and checked.  Reception after the service with details to follow.
