Tribute

It is with great sadness that the family of Henry Edward McQuarrie announces his passing after a brief illness, on Thursday October 20, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Ed will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Virginia, his son James (Hoan) and his sister Anita Calhoun (Edgar). Ed will also be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Ed spent his early years in construction and was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Steam Fitters. He spent 25 years at N.A.I.T. as a welding instructor. After taking early retirement, he enjoyed many years in Arizona. Ed returned to Canada 20 years ago and settled in Osoyoos, BC. Golfing, square dancing and numerous other activities rounded out a busy lifestyle. A funeral service in memory of Ed will be held on Thursday November 10, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Anne’s Church, Osoyoos, BC with Fr. Dave De Souza officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Osoyoos Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Mel Miller Hospice Centre for their wonderful care.
