Tribute
On Thursday January 14, 2016, Mr. James Anthony Moreira of Penticton passed away suddenly at the age of 38 years.
He was predeceased by his grandparents Leon Stappler and Antonio & Maria Moreira; cousins Derek & Shawn Moreira and uncle Joe Moreira.
James will be fondly remembered by his loving family including parents Dennis & Bev Moreira; brothers Rob and Michael; grandmother Anne Stappler; aunts and uncles: Cid Plavetic & Eddie Nishi, Tony & Susan Moreira, Lucy Moreira, Lidia & Jess Ferreira, Cathy Costa & Tom Desmarais; cousins Laurie Costa, Michelle (George) Hennigar and family, Michael (Cathy) Plavetic and family, Dawn-Marie (Jason) Burrows and family, Stacie Carrigan, Amanda (Dave) Stene and family, Jackie (Jamie) Mullen and family, Jason (Nola) Moreira and family, Melissa (Chris) Carvalho and family and Justin Ferreira.
James was employed at the South Okanagan Events Centre. He attended St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Penticton and was always helping the elderly with anything they needed be it buying groceries or moving furniture.
James enjoyed many vacations spent with the family, reading, movies, swimming but mostly loved spending time with his family and close friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at 11:00 A.M. Friday January 22, 2016 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Osoyoos, BC followed by a reception in the lower hall.
