John Bodnarchuk

Tribute
On Friday February 17, 22017, Mr. John Bodnarchuk of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at McKinney Place Extended Care at the age of 91 years.
John was born April 18, 1925 to William and Ann Bodnarchuk on the family homestead at Moon Hills (Oscar Lake) area Saskatchewan. He moved to Prince Albert in 1951 after getting married to Sylvia Korpan.
John worked for Northern Wood Preservers and Prince Albert Forest Products for 37 years and retired in 1988. Once retired, John and Sylvia became snowbirds, they travelled to stay in Osoyoos for six months before heading back to Emma Lake, SK for the summer. They did this for fourteen years before deciding to become permanent Osoyoos residents in 2003.
He was predeceased by his parents William & Ann Bodnarchuk; his oldest sister Mary, sister Kay, brother Peter, brother Nick, brother Dick and brother-in-law Bill.
John will be fondly remembered by his loving family including sister Lena Osarchuk in Prince Albert, sister-in-law Rochelle of Maple Ridge as well as many nieces and nephews in Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday February 23, 2017 at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.
Donations gratefully accepted for a charity of choice.
