Tribute
On Friday January 7, 2011, Mr. Joseph Lindsay Watson of Osoyoos passed away peacefully at the McKinney Place Extended Care Unit at the age of 100 years.
He was predeceased by his wife Cora in May of 1990.
Lindsay will be fondly remembered by his loving family including sons Bob (Joy) Watson and Gary; daughter Marilyn; grandchildren Donna, Andy (Suzanne) and Corinne (Kevin); great-grandchildren Chad, Jeremy, Brett, Jarodd and Josh as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Lindsay was born on April 26, 1910 in Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
He moved from Saskatchewan to Aldergrove with his parents in 1927. In 1933, Lindsay moved to Port Alice where he worked at a mill before moving back to Aldergrove around 1942 where he operated his own excavating company. In the late 1950’s, he moved up to Forest Grove, near 100 Mile House where he became a rancher for seventeen years. In1972, Lindsay and his family settled in Osoyoos, where he and his family owned and operated the Boundary Mobile Home Park, the Boundary Store and the Boundary Motel in Osoyoos.
A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday January 13, 2011 at the Osoyoos Lakeview Cemetery.

To Bob, Joy, Gary, Marilyn & families: So sorry to hear of your father’s death. He was a wonderful friend to me and my parents ( Jim & Tillie McKenzie) and the rest of our family. I wondered when I did not get a Xmas card for the first time in over fifty years and was intending to phone today. Wish I could be with you on Thursday but too far to drive. We will miss Lindsay very, very much. Much love to you all.

Our sincerest sympathy to you all and your family. I remember the many vacations to Osoyoos when I was a child, visiting Mr. & Mrs Watson, Gary and Marilyn. He was a wonderful long time friend to my late father Glen, and I’m sure they have connected again in heaven and are swapping old stories.
