I was shocked to hear of Larry’s passing. We went to school together and I remember Larry being a wonderful friend. He was always joking and making us all laugh. My condolences to his family.

Our sympathies to Larry’s siblings and the extended family. Larry was such a smart, sensible, and quick-witted man. We always enjoyed his sense of humour — wry, biting, and funny. — and his unflinching honesty. We’ll miss the quick smile and wave when he was zooming around on his skates. We were also thankful that he kept an eye on St Edward’s — once intercepting a vandal intent on breaking into the church. Much too soon and so sad to hear the news.
From: Shiela Lange
Relation: Friend and colleague.
I feel such a loss from this unwelcome news – my sympathy and prayers of support to all of Larry’s family as you deal with this sudden shock and loss. Larry was a special guy; unassuming yet firm and never one to back down or hide his beliefs and opinions. Larry has been on the Oliver Parks and Rec Society board for many years; the last several as Vice Chair with me as Chair. His unwavering passion for our community, and his loyalty to the society will be missed. Personally, I will so miss his side comments and nudges during our meetings whenever he felt I needed some of his guidance or special Larry wisdom! Larry was a good man who lead a good life. Rest in peace.
