Tribute

It is with sadness in our hearts that we announce the end of her journey here, our mother, grandmother and friend, Leone Robertson [nee Woodcock] at 90 years young.

Leone was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Marion, and her brother Len. She was also predeceased by her husband Dale in 2000.

Leone will forever be loved and never forgotten by son William 'Jock' [Carol] and daughter Patricia Anne [Ken]. As well as grandkids Caylin, Megan, Alisha [Chris], Sammi, and Montana, and her great grandchildren, and also her extended family including her brother-in-law, cousins, nieces  nephews and friends.

Leone grew up in Vancouver BC in home filled with family and friends. She went on to secretarial school and spent her career as an executive assistant for Alberta Housing, Alberta school board and several mining and lumber companies. While working up in the Yukon she met the love of her life, Dale Robertson. There they started their family, and then moved their adventures to multiple communities throughout BC and Alberta before finally settling in Grand Forks BC upon retirement. They shared a love of gardening and spent countless hours bickering playfully over the percentage of lawn, versus flowerbeds and vegetable garden. Her greatest passion though was her family and friends, especially her grandbabies. She could be found cheering at every game, school function or activity her grandchildren participated in, near and far. She particularly enjoyed the countless road trips we made for their athletics, never wanting to be left out, and never without her lipstick on We will all miss her indelible spunk, sense of humor, and generosity of spirit. It is hard to say goodbye, but she will want us to remember her with a smile on our faces, and light in our hearts.

A graveside celebration will be held at Ocean View Burial Park.
