Lloyd worked in Williams Lake as a logging truck driver after marrying Fern and having a family. They relocated to Langley in 1966 and started his modular career there with Campmobile. In 1971 he and his partners started Chimo, building modular structures.  In 1978 Kamco Kamp Services was started and Lloyd contracted for ATCO Structures.

His job took him to every town in B.C. and Northern Alberta and as far as Newfoundland before he retired in 2005.

Lloyd had a love of horses that started at a young age when he lived in Pierceland Saskatchewan. In 1976 Lloyd and Fern purchased Baskfire and had Keller Arabians for many years.

Lloyd was an original Fairview Mountain Golf Club member and a Canucks season ticket holder from 1970 to the late 1980s.

In his retirement, Lloyd spent time watching his grandchildren in sports and he enjoyed going to the casino or bingo. He was “called up” by his Grandsons to pilot a few loads.

A celebration of Lloyd’s life will be on March 9 at the Oliver Legion at 2:30 pm.

Dear Dean and Mynah. So sorry that you’ve lost a father, and father-in-law within just weeks of each other. There’s just something about losing a dad that goes deep, but like one of your other friends said, “May your memories bring smiles to your face and a warmth to your hearts”
