Lynne Smith
May 25, 1947 - February 28, 2022
Tribute
With profound sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Lynne R. Smith on February 28th, 2022. Born in Vancouver in May of 1947, a daughter to the late Bill and Phyllis Parsons, Lynne spent most of her life in the Oliver area.
She was married to her loving husband, Peter, for almost 37 years and was a beloved mother to Mike (Leslie) Mozak and Tony (Kirstin) Mozak. Lynne was a proud and devoted grandmother to Emily (Shane), Brenden (Megan), Jake, Ryan, and Clare.
Lynne was a friend to all whose lives she touched. She loved camping with Pete, visiting with Tony and his family in Australia, and visiting Mike and his family in the Kootenays. She had a passion for needle crafts and reading; loved her coffee time with the girls and a good day at the casino; and kept us entertained daily with her Facebook coffee memes. Most of all, she loved her family and enjoyed her time spent with them.
Lynne spent most of her career at the office of Pugh and Frank, and in her retirement, was active with the Lion’s Club as well as the SOSS Alumni Association. She had a generous soul and enjoyed helping others.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the BC Lions Society’s Easter Seals Camp in Winfield, BC. Condolences and Tributes may be left for the family by visiting www.nunes-pottinger.com

It was with great sadness we learned of Lynne’s passing. She was a valued employee and friend. Throughout the years we worked together, Lynne could be counted upon to be a force of positivity. She was hard working, a good listener and someone with a much appreciated sense of humour. Peter and family, please accept our sincere condolences. Lynne will be greatly missed. My Sincere condolences to Peter, Michael, Tony and all Lynne’s cherished Grandchildren.
I have known Lynne for more than 50 years; we attended SOSS and raised our families
here in Oliver. Lynne always had time for impromptu visits and was always so cheerful. She gave so much of herself to others and we have truly lost a wonderful friend.
Sincerely,
Donna Kemes

Lynne, I hope you know how much you are missed. 9:00 A:M is a time I will always remember you. I miss that call every day. I will miss my casino buddy, bingo buddy, breakfast and luncheon buddy and all the laughs and all the crazy ideas we came up with to fix the world. I won’t have to tell you to take care and keep safe. You are in a place where you are deeply loved and will be taken care of for eternity. Love and miss you.
