Margaret Petrie

Tribute
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Theresa Petrie (nee Cahill) born Feb. 8, 1930 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and died on March 12, 2015. Margaret will be sadly missed by her loving husband Phil of 46 years; sister Mary and brother Bill (Bette) all of New Westminster, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Ann, Kay, Bea and Alice as well as brothers Henry, Patrick, Ambrose and Jimmy.
Margaret`s working career spanned Sun Life of Canada and Bell Telephone in Montreal concluding as a Programmer with Kelly Douglas and Company for 26 years in Burnaby B.C.
A Prayer Vigil will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 7 PM and the Funeral Mass on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at 11 AM at St. Anne`s Catholic Church, Osoyoos with Fr Dave DeSouza as Celebrant. A reception hosted by the CWL in the Church lower hall will follow the funeral Mass.
Special thanks to Dr G. Tarr and the South Okanagan Hospital, Oliver for their outstanding care.
Burial will take place at the Gardens of Gethsemani, Surrey at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Pulmonary Hypertension Society, 2881 Canyon Park Place, Victoria BC, V9B 4Z4. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.nunes-pottinger.com

A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday March 17, 2015 at St. Anne”s Catholic Church followed by a reception hosted by the CWL in the church lower hall. Interment and committal will be held at Gardens of Gethsemani in Surrey.
