Tribute
On Tuesday March 25, 2014, Maria Szabowska of Osoyoos passed away at Mariposa Gardens peacefully after a long illness at the age of 89 years.
She was predeceased by her parents Franciszek and Konrada.
Maria graduated with a BComm degree from Concordia University in 1971 and worked for a number of years for Revenue Canada in the tax audit department. In the late seventies she decided to head out west to the Okanagan and owned a fruit farm. She enjoyed a long retirement. In recent years Maria suffered from an illness and two and half years ago she was admitted to a complex care facility. She died peacefully at Mariposa Gardens in Osoyoos.
A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 2, 2014 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church with a cremation to follow.

A funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Dave DeSouza at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday April 2, 2014 at St. Anne”s Catholic Church. Cremation will follow at Nunes-Pottinger Funeral Service & Crematorium. Urn interment & committal will be held in her native Poland.
