From: Glen and Della Smith
Relation: Friend

Our condolences to Judy and the family on their loss. I met Rick through a mutual friend in our teen years and quickly hit it off. There were many a weekend that he would drag me out to explore and dig bottles and other treasures in abandoned dumps that he had located.

During High School the only class I failed was Pottery, and I attribute that to Rick as all we would do in class was BS and plan the next adventure.

When I went away to the Army, he went to work in Faro YT and during that first Christmas we both returned home and one evening he told us guys “I bought you a bottle” and true to form Rick drags out a Texas Mickey of Crown Royal, all 133 oz’s of it. Nothing better than hauling that bad boy up to the local Toboggan hill putting it on ice and enjoying friends and a wicked hangover lol.

I will never forget your adventurous nature and thank you for planting that bug in my soul, one I treasure every day. Rick, tonight I will hoist one in your honor brother.
