Tribute
On Monday December 21, 2009, Mr. Rolf Georg Schulz of Oliver passed away at Heritage House at the age of 87 years. Funeral mass for the late Rolf Schulz was held on Wednesday December 23, 2009 from Christ the King Catholic Church at 1:30 P.M. with Fr. Sebastian Puthenpura the celebrant. Interment followed in the Oliver Municipal Cemetery with a reception held afterwards in the church welcome area.
Prayers were held on Tuesday December 22, 2009 at Christ the King Church.
Rolf was predeceased by his wife beloved Marianne of sixty years; infant daughter and a sister.
He is survived by daughter Veronika; three grandchildren and a brother in Germany. Rolf was born and raised in Germany and was married to Marianne in 1949.
They came to Canada in 1954 and retired to Oliver in 1977 from Vancouver. Rolf was a carpenter by trade, loved animals and helping family and friends.

Rolf , you and Marianne were a very special and unique couple from the ‘old ‘ world as you used to say. Geh mit Gott Rolf, du warst eine tolle menschen und sind nicht vergessen.

A funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Sebastian Puthenpura at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday December 23, 2009 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Rolf was laid to rest in the Oliver Municipal Cemetery following the mass. A reception hosted by the CWL followed in the church welcome area.
